  • Welcome to the Northbridge History Project.

    Our vision is to create an inspiring historical context for the future development of Northbridge as an uniquely attractive place to visit, work and live.

    This website will tell you more about the Northbridge History Project and how you can become involved. Use it to:

    • Obtain regular updates;
    • Find links to pages of interest;
    • Participate in the Northbridge History Project by supplying information;
    • Participate in the Northbridge History Project by undertaking volunteer research; and,
    • Find out who the members of the Northbridge History Reference Panel are and the organisations they represent.

    You can also step back in time and relive Northbridge's past by delving into the Electronic Archive. To access the Electronic Archive, see the search facility on the right hand side.

    The Electronic Archive contains images, documents, oral histories, maps, movies, displays, unpublished materials, student work and presentations from the annual Studies Day.

    You can search the Archive by media type or community group, or by using keywords. If you use a keyword search, it will bring up all the media that relates to that word.

    As research and documentation about Northbridge becomes available, we will put it in the Electronic Archive. You will see that new items added within the previous 30 days are identified at the right.

    The history of Northbridge is the history of the people who shaped and made it unique. We welcome your participation.
